Q: How do I book a session?
A: Fill out a form on the website here to specify as many details as you’d like. Alternatively you can email me at email@example.com or call at 206.659.7137
Q: How much does it cost?
A: The session fee is $350 and includes a professional hair and make-up application, the use of the studio and its wardrobe and a 1-1.5 hour photoshoot. Prints, folios, albums and other products are purchased separately during your viewing session. For full product and pricing details please contact me here.
Q: Where will the photoshoot take place?
A: My studio is conveniently located in the heart of the University District in Seattle, where we enjoy abundant natural light, all the props necessary for the photoshoot and an amazing array of restaurants and shops to visit after your shoot.
Q: I don’t know what to do in front of the camera. Do you help with posing?
A: Absolutely! There is no need for you to study poses on Pinterest – I’ve got you covered. I help you with each and every pose, and as many of my past clients will tell you, I am frequently found on the floor showing you exactly how to get into one pose or another. I am with you every step of the way, making sure you look and feel amazing.
Q: Do you provide wardrobe or do I bring my own?
A: I have a number of wardrobe items at the studio you are welcome to use. I encourage you to bring several items of your own to ensure proper fit and make sure the style represents you. I am also more than happy to help you pick the best thing for you to wear via phone/messaging/FaceTime.
Q: How long does the session last?
A: The total time with hair and make-up application is about 3-4 hours. If you are choosing not to have your hair and make-up done at the studio, the session typically takes about an hour to an hour and a half.
Q: Is it possible to keep my boudoir images private?
A: Absolutely. I work with women of all walks of life and professions that require anonymity, whether it is doctors, lawyers or teachers. You have full control of where and how much (if at all) your images are displayed.
Q: Can I have the RAW files?
A: It’s important to me as an artist that you only receive beautifully toned, ready to print images. For this reason I never release my RAW files. Every photograph you purchase is a finished product that is a work of art of its own, ready for its new home on your walls.
Q: Do you edit/use Photoshop?
A: Yes. Photoshop is an amazing tool to enhance an image to fit my artistic vision. I use it sparingly to remove blemishes and uneven skin tones and fix that flyaway hair that wouldn’t stay put during your photoshoot.
Q: Can I bring someone with me to my photoshoot?
A: Yes. You are more than welcome to bring someone whether it is for encouragement of comfort. Please note though that during the actual shoot I ask everyone who is not being photographed wait in the common room so as to create an authentic experience for your session. Other people, while they can provide encouragement, tend to make people feel self-conscious and take away from you fully experiencing your very own photoshoot.
Q: Can I take pictures/selfies during the photoshoot?
A: Yes. You can definitely take photos since you’ll be feeling fabulous. I ask that you use your phone sparingly as the whole point is to have the professional do the job for you so you are able to relax and not worry about the best light and angles.
Q: Can I bring someone with me to view the photos?
A: Yes, but please make sure to educate them on the product and pricing beforehand. The last thing you want is for your friend to make you feel discouraged about an image you were excited about. Bring someone who will help you choose while also keeping your interests and desires in mind.
Q: How long will it take for me to get my photos?
A: Delivery ranges from 2-4 weeks, depending on the product. Four weeks is typically the longest we wait for a product and we stay in touch throughout this time to ensure you are aware of shipping and expected delivery date.
Q: Can I get just digitals of my photos?
A: No. But you get a digital copy of each print you purchase. As an artist my greatest happiness is creating memories of the photoshoot experience. Digitals tend to go in the drawer and never come out; while most people think they’ll print the images most never do. I save you the hassle of finding the place to print them and ensuring utmost quality of a print. By ensuring you have a printed product as well as a digital you will still have digitals to share online but the printing aspect will have been taken care of, with a gorgeous printed product ready for display in your home.
Q: Do you have an age restriction for boudoir photography?
A: Yes. All women participating in a boudoir photoshoot must be 18 years or older and may be asked to present an ID prior to booking a session.
Q: Are you licensed and insured?
A: Yes and yes. I have been licensed in the city of Seattle and the state of Washington since 2014.
